You should never bypass Internet when looking for a job. Here are some tips to make your online job search more efficient.

- Make sure you have selected the right site. Focus on what the site offers. Are these the kind of jobs in your line of expertise? Are job listings up to date?

- Never underestimate networking. For some people, it is easier to network online than in person. Use social media sites such as LinkIn or Facebook. Most recruiters these days check your profiles online before they even call you for a prospective job.

- Make sure you are prepared not only for an interview in person but also to stream your video onto Skype, Google Plus, Facebook, and more. Don’t just introduce yourself and talk about yourself, speak about your areas of expertise and topics of your interest. It will make your video more compelling

- Are you camera shy and freeze on camera? Consider to write a blog or podcast.

Whatever you do, good luck.

You might also like this vocabulary tip:

<a href=”http://www.succeedinamerica.com/got-businessenglish-when-it-is-ok-and-not-ok-to-use-ok/” title=”Got Business English?: When It Is OK and Not OK To Use OK”>When It is OK and Not OK — OK Usage

<img src=”http://www.succeedinamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/tn2-2-e1477075092824.jpg” alt=”tn[2] (2)” width=”52″ height=”54″ class=”alignleft wp-image-801align right floatleft alignleft” title=”Dr.Nara Henvats” />**Dr. Nara Venditti is the owner of Succeed In America specializing in business communication skills for foreign-born professionals and cross-cultural communication in the workplace.
